New Years 2011

For New Year's Eve we headed out to Tooele to party it up with the cousins! Miracle of all miracles, Gideon fell asleep shortly after we hit the road and slept all the way to Tooele. Then he continued to sleep through the mommies only trip to Walmart, dinner and a whole lot of craziness around the house.

Emma, Ashley and Ellie LOVED playing with Brian. They chased him everywhere, jumped all over him and begged for more and more. Where ever he went, there was a string of giggles following right behind.

Meanwhile, Ben army crawled all over the floor, playing with cars and loving life.

Emma and Ellie cheering for more. At this point, Brian was covering them with a pillow (in a non suffrocating way) and they were laughing up a storm.

Ashley safely posing on the arm of the chair. What a cutie!

And here is a sad story. I have not baked a single thing since Gideon was born. I LOVE to bake. I miss it so much. If my little guy would ever sleep, I'm sure I could jump into baking every once and awhile. So, Brian took over Gideon on New Years Eve day and I baked this beautiful, amazing Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bundt cake. The batter tasted delicious, the end product turned out so pretty and I was so excited to bring it to the party to eat. I felt like I was back in the game doing something I knew how to do. It felt so good. Then we cut into it and discovered it was raw in the middle. I totally cried!

We headed home before midnight because Gideon needed to go back to sleep. I didn't pay any attention to the time and Brian was sad because it would turn midnight while we were in the car. I felt bad. But then when midnight hit, the entire valley, from Bountiful to Riverton lit up with fireworks. Hundreds of them, all over the skyline. It was AMAZING!!! That made midnight in the car totally worth it.
